Description: Explore the golden age of English country house living, created by the first Lord Fairhaven and his brother between 1926 and 1966. Wander the rooms and corridors of this luxurious country house and imagine yourself as a guest in the 1920s.Outside, discover the year-round delights of the 114-acre garden. See how many mythical beasts, Greek gods and other statues you can spot - there are more than 100 pieces of classical sculpture in the formal and landscape gardens. Be sure to explore the wildflower meadows, the Hoe Fen Wildlife Discovery area and the attractive Winter Garden, with its stunning year-round displays of colour. There was a mill at Anglesey listed in the Domesday Book and the present watermill, Lode Mill, dates from the eighteenth century. Restored in 1982, it is in full working order.
