Welcome to the living museum of Scotland's Railways! There's so much to see and do, but one of the highlights of your visit must be the thrill of travelling in a train behind a lovingly restored historic locomotive from the collection of listed buildings that make up Bo'ness Station. This is a journey that runs along the shores of the Forth and delivers you to Birkhill, with its lovely woodlands and fascinating fireclay mine. When you get back to Bo'ness, why not visit the Scottish Railway Exhibition? It contains a large selection from our collection of locomotives, carriages and wagons, as well as models and displays that tell the history of railways in Scotland. There are a few surprises too - particularly the signs that encourage you to climb onto and explore some of the exhibits!
