This rare and enchanting late-seventeenth and early-eighteenth century walled garden is set within 10 acres of land, with very fine examples of period planting, including Holly Walk, large herbaceous borders, Archery Lawn, Parterres and interesting Holly Maze. Exceptional vegetable, herb and salad gardens (NEC - RHS Silver Medal 2004). Walls lined with a wide variety of exotic fruits, Cordon and Espalier pears. More than 120 varieties of apples and pears in two large orchards, together with Quince, Medlar and Walnuts. Ornamental pond attracts interesting wildlife. Eighteenth-century Orangery and Summer House where interesting displays are on show at various times. An oasis of historical peace and tranquillity within 1 mile of junction 5, M6.
