Shakespeare’s Birthplace has been welcoming visitors for over 250 years. This fine Tudor house is where the dramatist’s life began and today it offers visitors a tantalising glimpse into his early world. See where prominent writers including Charles Dickens and Thomas Hardy have left their mark and learn about traditional leather-craft as practiced by Shakespeare’s father, John in the Glover’s workshop.

Visit our state of the art Life, Love and Legacy exhibition, a fascinating and immersive journey into Shakespeare’s world and the inspiration for the great dramatic works that have enjoyed global renown ever since.

This enthralling show interweaves theatre with Shakespearian magic. You will see genuine treasures and artefacts associated with the man himself brought to life, including Shakespeare’s First Folio. A wonderful spectacle that sets the scene for your visit to his birthplace."
