Location: Nr Chelmsford, Junction 28, M25 then Junction 15 and the A12. Follow signposts for Hylands. For House: Use entrance on dual carriageway section of A414 (car park next to house). For Park: use other entrances.

Description: Hylands House is a beautiful grade II* listed building, set in 574 acres of parkland. Visitors can enjoy all of the spectacular rooms in the house, ranging from the exquisitely gilded Drawing Room, to the sumptuously ornate Banqueting Room. The Repton Room on the first floor provides stunning views over the landscaped parkland. The final stages of restoration on the Stable Block (incorporating a gift shop, restaurant, arts and crafts centre and visitor centre) was completed and opened February 2007. Hylands House is also licensed for Civil Ceremonies and can also be hired for Wedding Receptions, Corporate Functions and Private Hire. Hylands Estate is open throughout the year and is a wonderful surrounding for a pleasant walk. Dogs and photography allowed in the park.
