In October 2005 Redwings Horse Sanctuary merged with the Ada Cole Memorial Stables, a charity with a long established reputation in the field of equine welfare and years of expertise in rehabilitating and re-homing horses and ponies. The Redwings Ada Cole Rescue Centre is home to more than 50 horses, ponies, donkeys and mules, many of which are being rehabilitated with a view to finding them caring foster homes. There is also a permanent herd, which includes five equines that are available for adoption. These include Boo the handsome Arab, Misfit the Shetland and Louie the donkey. The centre has pleasant paddock walks and guided tours plus a gift shop and information centre.
