Description: At Howletts Wild Animal Park, you can see world conservation in action in the heart of Kent. Set in 90 acres of beautiful ancient parkland, Howletts is home to the world's largest family of gorillas in captivity and the UK's biggest African elephant herd. Rare and endangered species include black rhino, Indian and Siberian tigers, clouded leopards, Brazilian tapirs, African hunting dogs, servals, lynx and bongo. You can walk alongside amazingly agile and inquisitive lemurs in their special open enclosure and enjoy one of the world's best vantage points for observing exceptionally rare Javan langurs. Recent additions include gelada baboons, rare Sumatran tigers and wild wolves from Iberia. Summer evening shuttle and walking safaris are available - booking essential. Hot and cold dishes served all day in the Pavilion Restaurant and Pizzeria. No dogs allowed (including Guide Dogs).
