This great little award-winning Museum is aimed at 6-12 year olds and their families.

Situated in the village where Roald Dahl (1916-1990) lived and wrote for 36 years, the Museum was created as a home for the author’s unique archive.
 
There are three fun and fact-packed galleries, full of hands-on displays and activities, a delumptious café and a phizz-whizzing shop.

In the School holidays and at weekends the Museum runs an exciting range of workshops, events and free storytelling sessions.

Free craft activities are always on offer, while our Village Trail leads you around Great Missenden to see the places that feature in the stories.
The Museum, Shop and Cafe are open:

10.00 – 17.00 Tue – Fri and 11.00 – 17.00 Sat & Sun.

Normally closed Mondays but call us to check.
