Description: "The Friendly Forest Line" Standard gauge steam (plus occasional diesel) passenger trains from Norchard to Lydney Junction and on the newly opened extension through the medieval forest to the delightful village of Parkend, for real ale pubs, forest walks and nature reserve. Also lake and children's park at Lydney. At Norchard there is a museum of railway relics, which includes the history of the Severn and Wye Railway from 1809. Special events include Days out with Thomas, Halloween Ghost trains, Santa specials, Sunday lunch dining car trains etc. Also steam and diesel locomotive driving courses.

 

Opening Times: Trains Run: Mid Mar-May Sun, June-July Wed, Sat-Sun, Aug Wed-Thur & Sat-Sun, Sept Wed & Sat-Sun, Oct Sun. Also Bank Hols & selected dates in Oct & at Christmas/New Year
