Sudeley Castle sits against the backdrop of the beautiful Cotswold Hills and is steeped in history. With many royal connections, the Castle has played an important role in the turbulent and changing times of England's past. Sudeley is perhaps best known as the home of Queen Katherine Parr, who is entombed in St Mary's Church, situated in the grounds. The 14 acres of magnificent, award-winning gardens are a delight throughout the seasons and are managed on organic principles. The Pheasantry was established in 2004 and the collection includes 15 species of rare and endangered pheasants. Sudeley Castle Country Cottages are located midway between the Castle and the historic town of Winchcombe, they're available all year round for short or long stays. Please visit the website for details of the historic exhibitions and our exciting new events programme! Connoisseur tours of the Castle Apartments take place every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We have disabled and pushchair access in the garden only.
