A mainly steam hauled train service between Bury to Ramsbottom, Rawtenstall and Heywood. This popular steam railway offers a day out for all the family with all the trimmings you expect on a railway (tunnels, level crossings etc). You can break your journey at any station to visit the shops at Dickensian Ramsbottom with its Farmers and Sunday markets. A riverside picnic area allows you to view the trains. Then, rejoin the train, and complete your journey with views of the Pennine Moors - an ideal day out for the family whatever the weather. Special events are held throughout the year and include a Day Out with Thomas, Teddy Bears Picnic, 1940s weekend and Santa Specials to name just a few. The Railway also runs Sunday Lunch and Diners trains and Drive a Steam Engine makes an ideal present.
