Description: Explore the world and travel through the ages at the Manchester Museum. In the museum's 15 galleries you can come face-to-face with live reptiles, admire ancient art from Egypt, see a helmet made from a porcupine fish and much more besides. Entry to the museum is completely free. You can spend just half an hour or all day looking around and everybody is welcome. We have a packed programme of events linked to the Museum's collection, many of which are free. Visit our website for more information about our collection, details of events or exhibitions and practical information to help you make the most of your visit. The Museum gift shop is well-stocked with a great range of greetings cards, books, magazines, gifts and souvenirs for both adults and children.
