Description: Award-winning Leighton Hall is the lived-in house of the famous furniture-making Gillow dynasty. Unravel the fascinating past of this ancient Lancashire family and wander through the spectacular grounds. Leighton also has a caterpillar maze, plant conservatory and charming tearooms. Children can run wild in the play area or explore a woodland trail; they're encouraged to get involved - there are no roped off areas! Leighton Hall is very much a 'lived in' house, brought to life by the enthusiasm of its guides. Leighton Hall can be found nestling in a bowl of parkland in the north of Lancashire, a few miles from the city of Lancaster. It's open to the public from May to September, pre-booked groups are welcome all year round and parking is free.

Opening Times: May-Sep: Tue-Fri & Bank Hol Sun & Mons (14.00-17.00). Open on Sundays in Aug. Groups of 25+ welcome all year round by prior arrangement
