It's a story of remarkable bravery and exciting adventures, revealing how we grew to understand the science and dangers of the sea. Enjoy a guided tour of our World War 2 vintage submarine HMS Alliance, step onboard the fully restored Holland 1 (from 1901) and see inside X24, the only surviving WW 2 midget submarine. Command your own submarine and discover the power of the ocean and the secrets of the deep in our six interactive zones, or re-live life under the sea in our four History Galleries, which contain the personal belongings of submariners and a fascinating collection of photographs, artefacts and archive material.
